    They are strong. I don’t always hang them when I put whole potatoes, onions, apples, etc in them, but I can put about a dozen of any of those large heavy items and hanging them has not hurt the bag at all. I just prefer to keep the heavy items (more than 5lbs) tied and stacked in baskets. I keep chips toys, bathroom scrubbies, and anything that won’t fall thru the holes in them. If I think something might slide thru the hole, then I just put the little things in zip bags and those zips in the bag. It is really convenient for quick grab snacks. It’s a great product, well made, stores easy, simple and useful. Thank you, these type bags are harder and harder to find.
